Priviledges of late
Well, since i last blogged, which was a grand total of a day, lots has gone on which i thought i'd tell you all about.
The ongoing priviledge is that i get to teach a group of 12 children of God about how maths, english, science, history and life in general, fits into God's big plan for each one of them; something that is, unfortunately, increasingly difficult in 'secular' schools (i'm sorry for calling it that), particularly in England. Whats more i've also been asked to lead daily devotions three days next week (the last week of this session). This is a huge priviledge, and i'd really appreciate it if you guys could please pray that God would be glorified in me and in the lives of the kids particularly next week but also for the rest of their earthly and beyond lives. The biggest danger is that these kids would just see it as another 'lesson' in which it is obligatory to listen and take on what i say, i really want it to be that my words would be completely, 100%, completement, of the one and only person who has power to influence these vulnerable critters. So your prayer would (and is) much appreciated.
On a lighter note i've had quite a fun day. I'm getting a dress made by a local seamstress (a guy which is cool!) and its coming on well, should be ready by next week! Shops are completely different here, they are very basic, not really even buildings, just stalls or huts on the side of the road. It's strange but yet, in the whole outlook of things, shops like that really make sense...it rocks here! :)
Also today, Michelle (my buddy) and I took a ride in a yellow taxi into town alone for the first time. It is amazingly cheap here, it cost us 2,000 CFA, the equivalent of 2 pounds (sorry no pound sign on American keyboard!) there and back for a 10 minute journey. And its like getting a 2 pound pass into alton towers! :) Fast, furious full of surprises, but a great experience and one that is necessary unless you happen to own a car.
So that was my day. No South African beauties or anything like that, Cameroon has its own delights!
Praise Jesus
