Photo blog 1 - a lorra lorra laughs

So, this is the first time I've ventured into the excitement that is sticking photos on my blog, admittedly i've stolen photos from fellow Short-Termer, Michelle, but I dont have the means (ie a digital camera to put originals on...sorry!)
So this is going to be quite a random photo blog, not in any particular order...the first photo is of a beautiful Swiss girl called Deborah who is working in 1st/2nd grade. She is so much fun, its hilarious, particularly when she tries to distort her face to match my beautiful one. Also it rocks playing word games with her as she speaks relatively fluent in four languages (well 3.5 as they are English, French, German and 'Swiss German').

To steal the comedy from Michelle, its so much fun, if not slightly violent, if ever you decide to venture into playing "Yellow car" if ever, for any strange reason, you get bored. An arm full of bruises would be your reward as it seems that half the population of Cameroon own a yellow taxi! :)

One of our more sillier moments, in between being grown up adults (well Michelles only just turned 20 so shes still got an excuse but a 21 year old should really know better *looking sheepish*), was when i stopped to buy a pineapple. All lush, fresh and sweet, we chopped off the tree on the top, peeled and ate it. Not quite satisfied with the delicious taste of the pineapple, we decided to create some fun with the pineapple tree/stalk and the wall outside our appartment - slightly skew wiff alignment but you get the idea, i was 'mort de rire' thereafter! :)

Finally i want to share with you a bit of our culinary adventures. Now i wanted to put a photo of a cold, tough old bird on this post but i think it would have been inappropriate so i decided to show you another hot bird cooking some rice delights, rice, peanuts, tomato sauce and...if your lucky, a carrot or two.
So there's my photo blog of fun moment up til now. Today was the penultimate day of school for these three weeks. It's quite sad, i love teaching these kids ; although it's very challenging, God has made them amazingly loveable and beautiful when you put on God Goggles.
Tomorrow is the closing day where they all come ready with something to show their parents. We've been studying Greece so the older kids have made some really impressive masks/heads. our kids have each prepared a topic to talk about and some have even suggested coming dressed (or not at the case maybe) as olympic athletes! :) Should be fun!

Not to many Canadians on the message board. Have you met any in Cameroon?

Hi Mr B from Canada! Thanks for your comment, quite strange that my blog was on the wynet canada site! Oh well, i guess more prayer can't hurt anyone! :)
I know a couple of Canadians, not very well but there you go, Di Friesen and Margaret Dobson are two of them. Ring any bells? Though i get asked if i know random people in England...sorry for expecting you to know who they are! :)
Thanks for your encouragement, hoping this blog keeps you updated...please keep praying.
Many thanks
